Our goal is to get you back to the best you can be. That means having experienced therapists and the right equipment in our rehabilitation and sports therapy center. Our compassionate and experienced staff has specialized training in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/language pathology. No matter what your injury or illness, we have the right mix of skills to help you heal.

OVERVIEW OF REHABILITATION SERVICES

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Our team of Physical Therapists is trained to evaluate and treat both acute and chronic injuries. We treat a wide variety of patients from pediatric to the older adult. We use the latest and most advanced equipment and techniques to help detect and treat factors contributing to your  injury.

  • Manual therapy techniques including joint mobilizations and muscle energy techniques
  • Hands-on soft tissue mobilization, strain/counter strain techniques, and myofascial techniques
  • Specialized geriatric therapy
  • Modalities for pain, swelling and spasm
  • Active on-site exercise accompanied by home programs
  • Rehabilitation for strokes/neurological rehabilitation
  • Sports specific training to allow safe and appropriate return to sport
  • Training and education in proper posture and body mechanics for sports, work, leisure activities and activities of daily living
  • Core stabilization exercises to improve trunk stability during exercises and daily activities
    Integrated manual/cranio-sacral therapy
  • Lymphedema therapy
  • Hand therapy
  • Custom orthotics
  • Selected assortment of splints and braces
  • Vasopneumatic ice compression
  • Independent gym program following discharge from physical therapy

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational Therapy means more than restoring lost function. Our Occupational Therapists help people learn new skills or adapt to a permanent loss so they can participate in daily living activities to the fullest extent possible.

We treat a wide range of conditions, including:

SPEECH/LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

Our Speech/Language Pathologists are trained to evaluate and treat patients with acute and progressive neurological deficits. We use the latest techniques to assess and treat factors related to Speech, Language, Swallowing, and Cognitive Linguistic Deficits.
Assessment and Treatment for:

  • Video fluoroscopic swallowing study
  • Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT)

OVERVIEW OF SPORTS THERAPY SERVICES

Our team of physical therapists and athletic trainers can help get you back to your game safely and quickly with the latest sports rehabilitation equipment and specialized treatment.

Injuries can be treated with a combination of:

  • Electric stimulation
  • Iontophoresis (administration of medication by means of an electric current instead of injection)
  • Cryotherapy (ice treatments)
  • Hands-on-soft-tissue and/or joint mobilization.

As inflammation lessens, therapists use a variety of techniques for strengthening and conditioning and will teach you a home based excercise program. 

To aid you in your recovery, the Sports Shop is on-site where you can purchase a variety of therapeutic and rehabilitative equipment and braces.

Pro-Gym Personal Fitness Program

The Center's staff of exercise specialists will design and guide you through an individualized program tailored to meet your needs. The program includes a goal setting consultation, one-on-one personal training sessions, customized weekly exercise programs, and computer documentation of progress.

Performance Enhancement Training

Are you interested in improving your athletic performance? The Sports Therapy staff consisting of highly trained exercise specialists will guide you through a program specifically designed to meet your athletic performance needs.

The Performance Enhancement Program includes:
  • Comprehensive Fitness Assessment
  • Individualized Goal Setting
  • Personalized Programs
  • One-on-One or Sport Specific Group Training
  • Written or Film Documentation or Progress
