O’Connor Hospital Foundation: Supporting Excellent Health Care Close to Home.
For more that 120 years, O’Connor Hospital has been caring for individuals – body, mind and spirit. We do this through the work of the Daughters of Charity and our dedicated associates, physicians, volunteers and community partners, combining advanced technology and innovative treatment with a caring tradition.
“We are a not-for-profit Catholic hospital with a mission and values we really believe in and carry out,” said Toni Neary Harper, O’Connor Hospital Foundation CEO. “O’Connor Hospital is a leader in promoting a healthy Santa Clara County. We foster the Catholic Church’s healing ministry and are a Vincentian values-based health care organization.”
The Charity of Christ urges us to promote:
- Respect: Recognizing our own value and the value of others.
- Compassionate Service: Providing excellent care with gentleness and kindness.
- Simplicity: Acting with integrity, clarity and honesty.
- Advocacy for the Poor: Supporting those who lack resources for a healthy life and full human development.
- Inventiveness to Infinity: Being continuously resourceful and creative.
In keeping with these values, O’Connor Hospital reinvests it resources in public service to the community through many programs: Pediatric Center for Life, Parish Nursing Program, Family Health Center, free flu shots, community education and support groups, health screenings, and much more. Since 1983, the Foundation’s philanthropic activities touch every single clinical program at O’Connor Hospital, funding services, equipment and capital projects that are above the normal operating budget and providing a margin of excellence to all of our patients.

There’s probably no hospital today that can maintain the very best in health care without the help of some very special friends – its benefactors. Each year hundreds of generous donors – many of them former patients, foundations and local corporations – contribute to the O’Connor Hospital Foundation, making a difference in the lives of countless people who depend on their community hospital. We hope that you, too, will join a community that has shown a commitment to caring and ensuring that your community hospital will remain strong and ready to serve you, your sister or your best friend when you need us most. Your help is needed.
Donors who contribute a cumulative amount of $5,000 or more are recognized on a permanent display in the main lobby of the hospital. All contributors are acknowledged in the Foundation’s Annual Report.
