Ronald J. Galonsky, Jr. is the interim CEO of O'Connor Hospital. He joined O'Connor as the Sr. Vice President, Chief Operating Officer in late April. Galonsky was asked to step up to the CEO role upon the departure of President & CEO Robert Curry in early November.
Galonsky has more than 18 years of leadership experience in healthcare. Since 2006, he has served as the CEO of Watsonville Community Hospital. Prior to Watsonville, Galonsky was the Senior Vice President of Operations and Site Administrator for Centra Health, a 670-bed acute care healthcare system in Virginia. In this leadership role, he was responsible for system-wide operations of all Centra Health professional and support services.
Galonsky is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and a mentor in the ACHE Leadership Mentoring Network. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University and his Master of Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia.
